Boarding
We typically serve meals twice a day and if you prefer, extra meals can be fed. We do require you provide sufficient food for the duration of your pet's stay. By feeding the same food as your pet is accustomed to, it helps to prevent adding stress to your pet making their stay with us as comfortable as being at home.
Your dog will be individually walked twice a day, including an after hours walk before bedtime. Extra walks are available. We do not allow animals to participate in any type of group play. This would be risky for the dogs as they are already in a new environment and the additional stress of a strange dog in the yard might be upsetting.
For your peace of mind, we offer a service where owners also can receive email messages with updates on their pet's stay.
We monitor and document the behavior of our boarders and note changes in things like appetite, water intake, urination and defecation. If a dog becomes sick or injured, we'll contact your local emergency contact person. They may pick up your dog to take him to your vet or we will transport him to our vet-on-call or the emergency clinic at the owners expense.
Boarding visits must be paid for when the dogs are dropped off. All dogs must be current on flea/tick control and must arrive flea and tick free. Proof of current vaccinations will be required and your pet should be comfortable being crated.
We do require that dogs bring their own food to avoid stomach distress due to a sudden food change. If we run out of your dog's food, you will be billed at pick up. Dogs who don't chew their bedding/toys can also bring those special items. This really helps our suites feel like home.
