The first word that I teach my puppies is "come". This is the word that will someday save their life so I like to start working on it early.
Hold out a treat and make an excited noise like "pup, pup, pup come", maybe even turn and run away from the puppy. Chase is a game that puppies love and your puppy should learn to chase you, not you to chase him. When your puppy is running to catch you, stop running and turn to face him (the treat should be held out toward him so he can see you are offering it), give the treat immediately when he gets to you.
Play this game in the house and outside in a fenced area as often as you can.
